Any way to choose specific contracts?

Recommended Posts

I want to take Kerbals to Duna, yet I have no contracts to go there. I have already done the explore Duna contract, so I thought planting a flag or gather science from space/surface would come up as a contract but they do not? I spent 30 minutes declining contracts and nothing I wanted showed up. Is there any way to specify what contracts you want? maybe a mod?

Also what are the requirements for the revert button to grey out ? Is it distance traveled? time spent in mission?

you may get your 1* contracts filled up, or there's already an accepted such contract (each type of contract may have a max number for the type)

I guess it's that you haven't quickloaded

EDIT: fix obvious typo

Check out these two mods. One makes declining easier, the other auto declines things to make others more likely to appear.

QuickContracts

Rejector

Note if you are actually unable to get offered the contract, it still won't work.

The moment you leave the ship you launched to go somewhere else, you can no longer revert. You can travel to Jool and back and then revert so long as the ship was being controlled by you the whole time. If you hop back to the space center to time warp or check a contract while you're in LKO, however, you can no longer revert. If you like to test a lot and are always wanting to revert but can't, I suggest Holodeck.

More contracts = more chances to get what you are looking for.

To get more contract offers you can change a line this file: GameData\Squad\Contracts\Contracts.cfg

AverageAvailableContracts = 20

Default value is 10, which is a darn small number if you love contracts.

The exception to this rule is switching vessels within current physics bubble. So you detach your satellite and then botch the reentry/recovery of your launch stage, you can still recover even if you were piloting the satellite for a minute or so, as long as you switched back to the launch stage before the satellite left its physics bubble.
