Can we please get better prefixes for the Add-on releases forum?

The current system of sorting threads into basically just "plugins" and "parts" has been in place for a while and has gotten a bit outdated. It worked fine when most mods were just parts, and there were relatively few plugins around. Nowadays, however, it seems like every mod requires a plugin, and as a result the forum is filled with relatively unhelpful prefixes. Would it be possible to get more options for said prefixes, such as "Contracts," "Overhaul," "Science," "Propulsion," "Tweak," etc. to help with navigating the forum?

(my apologies if this has been suggested before)

Maybe, though we may end up with tags no one uses, or a situation where people want multiple tags which vBulletin doesn't seem to be capable of.

If someone can come up with a short list of tags that enough people agree on then it could be done.

+1 on this.

Also, I don't know if that's possible with the current format/engine/whatever-shapes-the-forums, but a quick way to filter threads by tag (without going to advanced search) would be really useful ! If that's already possible, please help me cure my ignorance ;)

Hmm... If the prefixes do end up getting changed I definitely suggest posting an announcement on it! The modding community will probably be ecstatic.

EDIT: I wanted to point out that there isn't a category for visual packs. The closest category is "miscellaneous". So as a heads up you would probably see miscellaneous pasted all over Add-on releases.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
