Kerbal History Reborn

(You may be taking the train a little too far. Perhaps more Kerbal stuff and less historical parallels.)

402: Wright Kerman, an engine-near who dreams of being a pie-let, develops a contraption he calls the "Air Pie-Let Train" or "Air-PL-ain" for short. It's a bizarre vehicle resembling a train that he claims is capable of leaving the ground and flying through the air without a need for rails.

403: Leonardo Kerman opens a lawsuit against Wright Kerman for stealing his idea. As proof he brings a crude pencil sketch of a Kerbal sitting in a chair with a ring of whirling blades above its head. Meanwhile, Bernoulli Kerman, a sigh-and-test who dreams of being a pie-let, builds a much simpler flying machine using a swarm of birthday balloons.

404: Error. Historical record not found.

405: KYDRA, an underground group of mad sigh-and-tests, steals Leonardo Kerman's sketch and uses it to build the first prototype of the Kerbal Unreconstitutionator.

Trains, then discovery of the mun, then tribal stuff, then spaceflight? whaaaat?

406-410: Jules Kervernes (Kurvern) theorizes about sending oxidised fireworks into space, and asparagus staging, as he writes in his best-selling book, To the Mun and Back on Firework Clusters: the inspirations from Kei Hu Wan. After the book is published, war is stopped and the Kerbin's Guard Navy (commonly called Squad) is created on the sole job of defeating the elusive Krakens, and kerbals wonder if they really can (go) into space, thus leading Sigh-And-Tests to do Science! on blimps.

412-430: The Committee of Navigation (SCAN) led by Kirk D. Magic is created, and they find many anomalies on Kerbin, such as the smiley face in the ocean.

432: A gunpowder factory storing almost 200 tons of product explodes, leveling the city of Kskekaera and killing thousands. As this was one of the few gunpowder factories on Kerbin, cheap sounding rockets fueled by it can no longer be made, and the space program takes a huge blow.

Well now it's my turn to go "WUT": First, why is it that despite knowing that the current year is supposed to be 5000, people are posting stories about Jeb and the gang in the 500s? Am I the only one around who thinks it's fishy to have them be 4500 years old? Not to mention nobody announced any of their births yet.

And apparently the Squad was convened and Kraken drives invented before the Kraken was discovered (srsly - check the thread).

Ahem.

547: For the first time in Kerbal history, a desperate group of sigh-and-tests and engine-nears decide to forgo anything overly ambitious and just send a simple, unmanned rocket into low Kerbin orbit. The mission is a resounding success, and Kerbalkind now considers itself a spacefaring civilization.

548: After about a year in orbit, the unmanned craft, known as Stayputnik 1, begins transmitting anomalous readings. Analysis of its signals reveal a faint "echo" as if radio waves were bouncing off an unknown object lurking in space. To make things weirder, the object does not appear to be maintaining a stable orbit, but rather moving around as if under its own power. A week later, all signs of it have disappeared and the probe mysteriously goes offline. Historians will later theorize that this was the first record of the Kraken.

131: Takua "The Khronikler" Kerman decides to begin a recording of Kerbal History for posterity. Unfortunately he slips on a toad-like creature and the pages of his first draft scatter in the wind, where they would later be reconstructed by at least four different historians into at least four different far-fetched and wildly inaccurate retellings of the story of Kerbalkind.

132: Looking up in wonder at the night sky, Wen Hrer Kerman (far removed ancient ancestor of the future Wernher Von Kerman) makes note of a circular region that is significantly lighter than the background and which has a greyish color. He scrawls a description of it on a piece of kapyrus, but then trips on a small pebble. The kapyrus falls into a peat bog, where it miraculously is preserved for millenia, sealing for all history that Wen Hrer was the first to discover and document the Mun (although he called it "The Grey Part of the Sky That's Sort of Roundish").

Okay I went over three sentences by a smidgen, but only two things happened xP

Is that "Takua" by any chance Me in disguise? (i created Kerbal history...)
