(WIP) The Martian Rockets

Recommended Posts

Just to give everyone a sense of size, here is how the Delta IX is designed:

First stage is 5m with 3.75m CBC boosters.

J2X EDS stage is 4.25m.

And the RL60 cryo stage fits inside the fairing.

Also, the CBC's and first stage have crossfeed between each other.

The CBC's are only for a Delta IX Heavy, normal Delta IX has no boosters.

When will you release? I have been follow this for a month, but i haven't figure out how to post a reply on the forum

After testing and bug fixes are complete. The reason you are having issues is that, initially, your posts are moderated to remove spam and spam bots. After at least three posts, i think, your posts won't be chacked by the moderators prior to being added to a thread

You know, it's just my personal opinion, but I think you shoudn't worry too much about schedules. When I'm working on something for one of my mods, I just say "OK, you finish the, well I don't know, RS-27A let's say, in mid-december. Then I start working on it, and I'm doing well, but then the time is over and I'm still working on it, because I think that some parts of it should look better etc.

I just think that you should roughly say when you want to have it finished, and if you realize that you still need more time, just take it and ignore the schedule!

I exceeded my schedule for my Atlas V by almost 2 and 1/2 months, but I really needed the time.

So don't rush only because you're behind schedule, do it properly. ;)

Ps.: And I won't tell now how far I am behind my schedule with Delta IV. Let's just say it's more than a few months :P

Thanks Kart :-). I said that at the absolute latest we'll release the same day as the movie, and we're not far off. Also, if anyone is really good at engine effects, send a pm my way and I'll put you to work. Besides that, we're done.
