Bersagliere81
Hi all,I played occasionally, now I want seriously to get in the game ..and I want mods as stock version does not satisfy me at allWhat mods do you suggest then?I love big challenges, I know about realism overhaul but it's not what I want for now.So far I really enjoyed:ScanSatRemoteTechStation ScienceTAC life supportUSI mods (without its dedicated life support)Infernal Robotics (although I did not really used its parts yet)Solar ScienceTaurusFAR...and many other minor mods for exploration, colonization, orbital stations.. without going too much for RL replicas. So what other mods do you suggest for playing carrer mode? I would like to integrate those mods and add few more to get more "hardcore". Keep in mind I play with 64bit system (sigh) and I do get frequent crashes, in fact I can't play with any of the Astronomers pack, althought I have installed the aggressive texture compression. Also one specific question, I used to play with a mod which showed on the map the actual reentry trajectory (with a red curve when entering the atmosphere), I think it is "trajectories" but apparently is not working nor is the right one. Any clues?

*Aqua*
Have a look at USI MKS & EL. The former allows nice base and station building and the later adds the ability to produce crafts everywhere you want. MKS also supports TAC Life Support. While EL make things easier, MKS can be a ...... It takes some time and effort to get a base up and running. Also KIS and KAS is highly recommended. Also one specific question, I used to play with a mod which showed on the map the actual reentry trajectory (with a red curve when entering the atmosphere), I think it is "trajectories" but apparently is not working nor is the right one. Any clues? You mean this one. It's updated for the latest KSP so it should work.
nobodyhasthis
You started out with a great mod list. Really good. Here is a few more that you might like to explore.SETI-ModPack-1-Basic+ SETI Greenhouse (for TAC LifeSupport)+ Ven's Stock Revamp ( Improved textures without performance loss. Everything now looks 20% more cool ) +HGR Parts ( Although this currently listed as 1.0.2 it does work in 1.0.4 and provides and whole new rocket size between the stock ones ) +Contract Configure (Pretty much the most essential mod ever if you want to customize contracts in career mod and have better progression and variety) +Stock Bug Fix Modules ( Yes there are bugs in KSP. Little ones that are can be fixed with this mod )Another mod that you can look atActive Texture Management ( You only have 4 gigs of RAM in Windows whist we stuck in 32 bit hell ) Edited September 7, 2015 by nobodyhasthis
ainamogel
For me, a big part of the game is docking, because I like building big constructions in orbit. If you feel the same, docking is much much more fun and easy if you use one of the docking port alignment mods: I use both DPAI and NavHud, but I believe there are others with this capability.KER is just necessary if you want to know how your vehicles are going to work before you launch them.PreciseNode is wonderful for making maneuver nodes behave the way you want them to.For me, I won't play without these three features.I would also recommend Vertical Velocity Control, which takes the stress but not the fun out of landing. Without it, I found I was trying to do one thing too many at a single time while landing, resulting in repeated high speed lithobraking. With it, I can concentrate on maneuvering the spacecraft which VVC keeps the spacecraft at the right height.Good luck!Ainamogel

Dnaha
Not sure if you've tried these two, but FASA and SSP (Space Shuttle Mod) are two of my favorite mods. FASA adds the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo spacecrafts and I think they're properly placed in the tech tree so you can progress as the NASA programs did. FASA adds a ton of real-world spacecrafts that I think are worth checking out. SSP is a Shuttle mod that now has its own development team. It's still very much a work in progress and I'm not sure if there has been a new release under the new development team, but the previous releases have been very good. I would also recommend checking them out.Link to FASA forum:http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/24867-21-FASA-2-2-Wings!!!-Sept-4Link to SSP forum:http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/133296-%281-0-4-Compatible%29-SSP-Space-Shuttle-Program
