Looking for real-life rocket science!

So I've been seriously burnt out on KSP for a long time now. Way longer than I should be, and I wanna get back into the swing of things.

I love rocket science, I love rockets, and I love space more than anything, but putting it all together in KSP just isn't clicking like it used to, so I'm trying some different things to get back into the game I love so much.

I pretty much won't be doing any real missions until 1.1 comes out, but I have a few ideas. What I'm looking for in this thread is basically a little reference for real-life rocket science math stuff. The rocket equation, formulas for ISP, Delta-V, all that good stuff. I need to learn the equations and how they work so I can use them to make predictions and better engineer my KSP rockets without the need for KER. I figure, why not improve my math skills while playing a video game?

Plus I bet it'd be a neat reference for players who wanna see a little bit more how rocket science isn't all that hard.

Show me the math, plz :sticktongue:

Thanks a million, though I'm looking for explanations of these things too. Kerbal rocket scientist I may be, but I wanna know how this stuff relates to real life, to understand it, and how to do the math properly. I'm looking to learn rather than looking for an answer. Just like I am all the time!
