10/16/15 Spacecraft Friday - The "I can't think of a clever title" Edition

Who are you to decide this, I hear you asking, and here's the answer: No one. I am official in any way, shape, or form. If you're unhappy with my decision, we can work something out. This is just my opinion, since there's no objective way to judge "Quality" of crafts.

If anyone feels that their craft is missed because of any kind of time-zone difference, or any kind of difference in when spacecraft fridays is put up, tell me.

If your craft is really good and was made before, and someone posts in it within that week, then it will be considered. Just to clarify, I am not encouraging necros for the sake of bumping your craft.

After managing to go off the forum last time from the moment it was decided I was meant to do this to the moment it was too late (Thanks to Yukon0009 for stepping in), at this moment I now become Spacecraft Friday Doer Person, Lister Of Cool Spacecraft.

There are many more that could have been on this list, but in the end I narrowed it down to 5. In no particular order, these are my choices:

LKO Shuttley Thing from Fellow314

I don't know what it is that I like so much about this, but I do, and so on the list it goes. Maybe it's the simple but unique (and awesome) design, or the sheer poetry of it's name, but I think it's really cool.

In testing my sucky piloting kept it firmly un-spaced, but there's an imgur album on the craft page showing that the LKO Shuttley Thing can indeed LKO Shuttle.

Turbine Powered VTOL Flying Saucer by Redshift OTF

Practically crying with happiness right now. This thing might as well be chiselled from a 24-carat block of cool. Even the shadow looks like the Aztec god of awesomeness returning to wreak havoc on Kerbin, and those contrarotating spinning disk-o-deaths are just hypnotising. It looks like something Leonardo Da Vinci might have designed, if Leonardo Da Vinci designed FREAKING SPACE AGE JET DONUTS OF WHIRLING FIRE AND STEEL.

It doesn't just look good, it flies amazingly too, and with a reasonable FPS even on my poor overworked 2008 core 2 duo. This is just a really awesome piece of work, and if the future of KSP bearings looks like this, sign me up.

Koeing K-1011 SST-Klipper by kapteenipirk

The first thing you need to know about this 371 part monster is that it's really, really big, and the second thing you need to know is that it looks Space Age to the max.

Taking up most of the runways width with those glorious wings, the power of those 8 turbojets sends all 150 tonnes thundering down the track like an unstoppable eagle/train hybrid, until it lumbers into the air at about 100m/s, beating the laws of physics into submission with the magic powers of it's classic retro-futuristic styling.

It made my CPU cry, but they were tears of happiness.

237m Booster Bridge by Azimech

Taking the bridge-buying world by storm, all 237 metres of this bridge by Azimech has been scientifically proven to be super freaking awesome. Featuring vernor engines and a probe for when a regular giant-bridge-made-of-rocket-bits isn't enough, it also comes with landing gear to help you hyperedit it into position for all your river-crossing needs. I didn't even risk testing it with the massive part count, but you can see it in action on the craft page handling a 46 tonne truck with ease.

Sabre SSTM by Rune

Combining a sleek, fish-like body with a tail that just screams "I go really, really fast", the latest offering from Rune needs only 50 parts to land and return on the Mun, Minmus and theoreticaly even both in one mission, with exactly 0 decoupling's involved.

It's a great mix of aesthetics and practicality, and is a lot of fun to fly too.

Good choices! And thank you go doing this. Did you use the template? Is it easy to use?

I did try using the template, but it wasn't working right (probably I was just using it wrong, I don't have much BBCode experience) so I just tried to recreate it manually in the end.

Very cool picks, but man.... i really wish it was spacecraft Saturday, or Sunday, i am so busy on the weekdays i never get around to releasing a craft... :P

I did look at craft released on the previous weekend too, so if you release a craft then it's still legible, just you'd have to wait till the next friday to see if it gets featured.

Holy crap I missed one Spacecraft Friday. And it was one in which I got featured! Double , and shame on me! Congrats to the people that I share the thread with, frankly, my entry looks a bit... ¿boring? with such an amazing group of contraptions. At least I think I take home the "lowest part count" prize! :)

Rune. I wonder if I repp'ed them all yet? Let's find out!
