Gordon861
I love this MOD but I have one issue with it.Is it possible to get the software to remember window positions between updates?I assume there may be a config file somewhere?
Red Iron Crown
I love this MOD but I have one issue with it.Is it possible to get the software to remember window positions between updates?I assume there may be a config file somewhere?Several of them, in Gamedata\MechJeb2\Plugins\PluginData\MechJeb2. Copy that folder over to a new MJ install and you're golden (usually).

Don't do that. Only drop in the updated MechJeb2.dll file on top of the old one.
Starwaster
Latest builds have some serious issues when trying to orient to nodes/targets (as when using SmartASS)Even when using 'stock SAS' in attitude settings. Latest build from the 24th (#262 I think?)
Wyrmshadow
"Version 2.20.23.5 related fixesReworked Docking AutoPilot"Uhh.... All my docking autopilot does is constantly back up, back up, back up, back up, back up, back up, and keeps driving away from the target. Worked fine before. Maybe it's the Taurus HCV. What the hell is the "safe distance"? It backs up even further than the 1.4km it says in the window.

I quoted the notes because that's latest version where I saw there was a change in the docking code.Well, if you looked at the notes for all the dev versions since the 2.2 release, Serbian has tweaked the docking code a number of times. Post details about the craft involved, the orbits, etc (basically all the stuff he always asks for if people need help) and he or one of the other project contributors can usually figure out what's going on.EDITED: Actually, as I always forget, he asks for bug reports on the GitHub page ... https://github.com/MuMech/MechJeb2/issues

I quoted the notes because that's latest version where I saw there was a change in the docking code.Just click the thing to disable/override the safe distance in docking autopilot and it'll work. The safe distance thing is to have "activate and forget" docking so it will maneuver around and dock without first having to manually fly to within line of sight of the port or aim them at one another with TGT+. When the safe distance function works, it's quite nice because you don't have to manually fly the ship to get line of sight on the port or have to rotate a huge station or ship. griffin247
using latest dev build , read something some place about changing something using caps lock? cand some one explain this and how and when to use please? i ask this as my craft refuses to obtian a polar orbit , it always does 090 orbit it dosnt matter what i put into the ascent module . Galane
90 should get you a polar orbit, launching north from KSC. 0 launches East, 180 launches West. However, the last time I tried 270 to get a polar orbit launched to the South, it went North same as 90.

Ringkeeper
this whole (small) station was done with the tug you see on top (its the one from the KSO mod). Docking was no problem at all. Even the long solar panel trusses where the rcs was everything but nice placed.Mechjeb also docks the KSO shuttle perfect to the station. https://imgur.com/a/EtRCbDocking works nice since 2.
Agathorn
Would it be possible to request a couple more pieces of information available to the custom window editor?Dynamic Pressure (At least I think thats what it is, it is labeled as Q in FAR's flight readouts). I hate having to keep the entire FAR display open for one number, but this is an extremely important number for optimizing rocket design and launch profile.Current TWR.Also i'm curious about the values shown for planetary transfers. Phase Angle and Angle to Prograde. The values shown are completely different than Protractor.

But more importantly for aircraft and rocket design is the CL and CD numbers. Those are what I pay attention to when designing my rockets and planes. Expecially in RO. Those are what I pay attention to when designing my rockets and planes. Expecially in RO.What are CL and CD?I like Q because I use it to tweak how the max thrust on my SRBs to be optimal. I also use it to guide me on ascent so that for example if I have tall thin rockets, I know I need to avoid any pitchover over certain Q thresholds. It seems to me that the base values needed for calculating Q Are all in MechJeb already, so it should be easy enough to do the math and display it as a new value. Is MechJeb on GitHub where I could add it myself and submit a PR?Also still looking for clarification on the phase angles and stuff. I'm still learning that area of KSP and i'm confused why MechJeb and Protractor give completely different values.
