This is a thread for nominating the most epic, insane craft ever built in KSP to be preserved and applauded as marvels of engineering - things so insane they should not be capable of succeeding.

Basic Rules for Nomination:

1. No Self-nomination, your craft must be nominated by someone else.

2. The nominated craft must have existed on the forums for at least six months.

3. Please be very thoughtful about your nominations, this thread is going to last a while. Please only nominate if you really think it's worth it.

4. One nomination per post. A user can only nominate one post at a time, and must wait a week before nominating another.

5. Please check the currently nominated list before nominating.

6. Nominator must provide link to the craft.

7. Stock craft only ??? (Up for discussion)

Once a craft has been nominated, the craft cannot work in the latest version and it cannot have an upgraded version that still works. In order to become a part of the museum, the nominated craft must receive 10 votes.

If these 10 votes are not reached within the month, the craft will be removed from the nominated list. This allows it to be re-nominated, but there must be a 2 week waiting period before re-nomination is allowed.

Voting:

1. 1 vote per person per craft. Please don't vote twice on the one craft.

2. Max. 3 votes per post.

3. NO continuous posting.

PLEASE NOTE: A nomination does not count as a vote.

Nominations:

Zeke's Life Size Space Shuttle (1)

pTrevTrevs'U Boat (3)

Accepted Craft:

Thanks zekes for doing this. It all looks great. :)

I think each nominated craft must receive 10 votes in order to become a legend. What do you think?

Should we make the vote a poll? Whenever a craft receives 10 votes, we take it down. It can be up on the poll for a month, and if it doesn't reach the 10 votes, we take it down until it gets renominated. Once it gets 10 votes it officially goes on display as a Legendary craft.

We don't need a poll, but I think the voting criteria would work anyway. Any thoughts anyone?

Let me know if you need help with any admin. I'm not too shabby with Photoshop ;)

Thanks again zekes.

Ach, that's going to be a lot of polls. Can we limit it to say 1 entry per post? My internet is bad here and linking multiple polls per poster is going to be hard.

Okay, I can't add a poll but I'll record the number of votes and the Craft in a list.

I also vote for Mulbin's Munbug Apollo.

Can somebody please get to nominating one of Whackjob's old craft? I feel like he needs a mention here.

I'll vote for Jon's shuttle, the life-sized shuttle, and Majorjim's AT-ST

I kind of feel like my NAFAs wouldn't get enough votes for me to nominate one. Maybe I'll do so a bit later.

Yeah, Whackjob's craft definitely deserve some spotlight.

Ok, this makes sense. I'll help keep track as well to help avoid confusion. :)

Thanks to everyone for nominating and voting. I believe this is going to become a very important thread.

Also I'll vote for Life size shuttle, Azi's chopper, and bubbadevlin's stock walker.

Happy Flying

Argh don't have the time, gotta rise for work. I'll pick some stuff when I get back. For the people who voted for my helicopter(s): thanks!

@Jon144: I built my first turboshaft helicopters in 2013 but ... it was your stock helicopters that inspired me to dig it up and continue. Thank you!

I vote for Mulbins Munbug, Zekes shuttle and the guy who made the FIRST chopper, because it was not Azimech. Oh and bubbadevlin's stock walker.

Also a vote for Kats constellation pack validates a vote for mine, which was fully stock. Also, it was far and away the hardest thing I have made. Far harder than the AT-ST static model.

So, mulbin munbug

My constellation pack and Kats.

Whomever made the first Chopper

bubbadevlin's stock walker

Zekes shuttle

If I may self-nominate, I submit for consideration the Kidonia (which is STILL being fueled up):

Oh, and also Whackjob's infamous Arkingthaad Nadir (or anything in the Arkingthaad series, really):

Thanks Mad Rocket Scientist and Jackovny for the Base-In-A-Box nomination. That thing is one of the ones I'm most proud of, so it feels nice to see other people consider it is good enough to be called "legendary". :)

Rune. I have so little time these days, I'm posting from my phone.

This could get unpleasant.. I don't really agree with these kinds of threads, it's all a bit silly really, even though I did nominate myself as well as others..

Nothing against you Rune but as you have said you copied on of Cupcakes designs for you base in a box. Choosing something like this is going to be very messy, people will feel left out or overlooked.

Lots of people a great builders on this forum. And there are so few original designs now.

I nominated Munbug as the later versions are truly revolutionary. As was the first stock helicopter.

I nominated Zekes shuttle simply because of the amazing size and complexity of it.

I also nominated myself for my stock constellation program as it is still a very very hard thing to make using stock parts. Even harder as it was made before offset tools.

I don't think a craft that just uses bearings is worthy simply as that's the hard part and someone created bearings ages ago, and we all just use variants of that original design.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
