Is there a tetrahedral lander part available?

Does anyone know if there is a mod/part for a tetrahedral petal lander like the ones used by NASA to deliver the Mars rovers?

I'm actually looking into making one of these. I'm new to modeling/texturing so it might be a while before it's done..

I've done a little testing as I wanted to include a tetrahedral petal lander with my Landertek mod... at least around KSC, the way that KSP handles collision generation with the ground made it buggy, but functional, meaning that sometimes a petal mysteriously just went underground instead of digging in and flipping the payload right side up. It got a LITTLE better when I stopped using convex mesh colliders and tried box colliders, even though they overshot the triangles...

I was configing it as a cargo bay, so it would provide some atmospheric protection in flight... I may play with it more... The petals may need to be set up as landing gear with bounds and wheel colliders to reliably make contact with the ground? It's also possible this thing would work fine anywhere except KSC... because of the way KSC mixes models and terrain I sometimes find more glitches around home than I fine elsewhere?

Would it be possible to cobble together a working facsimile using both stock bits and infernal robotics?  I realise the square panels are a pain, but with some clipping...

might have to try that.

Hangar mod (yet not updated for 1.0.5) has a Lander Hangar.

Bahamuto Dynamics parts for Extraplanetary Launchpads have tetrahedrical platform looking close to this (subdirectory bLaunchPad).
But it's not for landing, it's for launching.
(Of course, you should change "node_stack_bottom" line in its cfg file: set the 5th parameter to -1.0)

The closest thing to what you mean was Lionhead's Prometheus rover.
(But looks not available anymore).
