Backslash triggers right-click view?

Recommended Posts

Hello, guys!

I've never noticed this before, so I think it's from 1.0.5: when I press the backslash key (to show KER), the game behaves like if I had right-clicked to rotate the view.

I've looked into the keybindings in Settings menu but couldn't find that keybinding.

How do I disable it?
I don't think you can. They also made it so that double right clicking causes it to do the same. Equally annoying when trying to collect science from those small experiments.
I have to say that I really, really hate that new "mouse look" feature. It's incredibly annoying: I activate it all the time by accident, and never on purpose. Because I don't want to use it. Ever. Because it's useless. Why would I want it? If I want to rotate the view, I hold the mouse button down. Does anyone actually want or use that feature?

Really wish there were a way to disable.

The new mouselook does have one use, as far as I'm concerned - no mouse on screen means no parts glowing green 'cause you left your mouse near the center when flying.

There were mods to enable this for eg videos, glad there's a stock option for this now.

I was using backslash as a secondary engine cutoff key but found the same problem as you. And, like you said, saw no sign of it in the Settings menu.

In the settings.cfg file though, the backslash key was bound to "CAMERA_MOUSE_TOGGLE" as it's primary key.
I probably won't use CAMERA_MOUSE_TOGGLE so I changed it to "None" to disable it and now my backslash does what I tell it to do.

Bingo! Thanks for saying this; please have a little bit of rep.
