Heh folks, we have a new video up! In other news the utilty edition has also had a sex change and is now named Mindy.

As you were.

Another triumph!

Dude you are without a doubt the master of low part creativity. I have seen the (IMO)second best low part count builder copy a few of you're ideas recently.

And yup, Tylo is not the challenge people make it out to be, you tamed it with gusto and style, good job man.

I've had a few people ask for it, I'll add it to the dropbox folder next day or so.

It was a bit buggy but I used Scatterer to make Jool pretty, the rest was just a saturation/contrast lift in the edit. :)

I want to eat the visuals! They remind me of frosting on some sort of a cake.

About the latest video:

That dropship is nice, but that mothership is art.  The moment I saw it I started copying it in KSP.  Don't worry, I'm not going to release it, but it looks so good.  So sci-fi, and so few parts!  And the video is great too, amazing work with burn together.

Agreed! The light up front and the shape really made it seem like a futuristic mothership.

I've had a few calls to post the design so I'll try and have it loaded into the dropbox folder over the next few days. As far as copying goes feel free to plunder away to your hearts content, I honestly don't mind. :) In related news...

I feel very honoured seeing the name I suggested being used for a craft, even more so seeing the craft was made by the legendary Cupcake...!

Thank you!!

Also, just got around to watching the Tylo video. Absolute work of art.
Didn't think you or your landers and/or dropships could get any cooler, but no, Split Enz proved me wrong. :-)

Is that Laythe or Kerbin? Also, that thing looks beautiful and I want it. Is it SSTO?

And any ideas for getting the Shuttle Bus w/ cargo into orbit?

That's Kebin right there although this thing will also fly around on Laythe quite happily. It won't be an SSTO I'm afraid, but I'll spin it off into jet and rocket powered versions. :)

Heh folks, the Mork has had a wee update to make it even speedier! :)

With the power generated from the jet the solar panel was surplus requirements and has been ditched. To this end the craft now sports a single battery housed inside the cockpit to reduce drag. As you were.

Just stopped by after recently stumbling across your youtube channel because I wanted to say how much I admire your work.

Your videos are very well edited with a great choice of music and overall just super entertaining to watch.

But your "simple" low part crafts are just genius! You are amazing at creating efficient solutions and you seem to have a natural talent for thinking outside the box. And unlike other talented craft builders you top it all off with the ability to also make your crafts visually appealing! I just love the aesthetics, I think your crafts are pure art! :)

/mancrush  (if you are in fact a man :P )

I just downloaded some of your craft files to learn from your magic. When I first saw the Mork video I immediately wanted to rebuild it, but after fiddling around for half an hour I realized I had no idea how you did it and gave up :D

That's high praise indeed thankyou! :D If you have any Qs as to how the crafts were put together feel free to ask away. :)

I use camera tools for a longer lens, then give the colours/contrast a bit of a lift in photoshop. :)

An orange?! You're lucky, as I get older it seems to be socks and underwear. :( I'm quite tempted to do another Jool 5 challenge, they're a lot of work though! :P

I did put the pointy nose cones on there at first but it just didn't look quite right. :P

Cupcake...

A Jool 5 challenge, eh? Maybe do it with only the Mindy[Vall, Tylo], Cypher[Laythe], and Shrimp[Bop, Pol]! Just a thought. And yes, you can use the Shuttle Bus, too. And mining is allowed after the Vall, Laythe, and Tylo landings.

Your videos are always entertaining, but I have to say these 2 really hit a chord with me!  Great music choice, editing, and "camera" work.  It creates a fun, adventurous, but somehow almost poignant tone.

And the craft are what we have all come to expect from you: Deceptively simple-looking exteriors hiding LOTS of work and creativity.

Bravo!

The problem is Laythe, sadly the Cypher can't make it into orbit from the surface. :(

Thanks man, coming from you that means a lot! :D As it happens I'm still giving the designs a wee tweak here and there.

fIGmNoG.jpg

By flipping the tanks over I found I was able to boost the cruising speed of the Mork from around 65m/s to over 110 m/s!

sptxmKN.jpg

It now handles like a slightly less deranged version of the Siren.

oIA8WoW.jpg

Likewise with the Mindy by flipping the tanks I was able to get rid of the fuel lines (the only thing that really annoyed me about the design), and squeeze out an extra 300m/s Delta V in the process.

OycqL7z.jpg

I have to say aesthetically they don't look quite as nice, but I can't argue with the performance gains. :P
