Be able to edit Flag name.

So im doing my Eve elcano challenge and I plant flags every 50 km. Sometimes I forget what the number is I have to take down the flag, restock it and then plant it again. It would be a lot easier to just click on it and rename it.. You could maybe be able to change the plaque to.

I'd like this too. I tend to use the plaques as small mission summaries: "On this day, Jeb and Bill first set foot upon the Mün..." but sometimes I forget one of the names, or want to correct a typo or something. It would be nice to be able to edit my plaques. Not at all realistic of course  but I'm happy to let that slide on such a minor point.

Sure - it's a small 'nice to have' but sometimes it's the small things that can make a game.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought we could rename flags in the tracking station.  If we can't then I think it should be possible.

To be able to click on a flag and rename it like we do vessels would be a good addition too.

I have mixed feelings about editing the plaque though, maybe it should only be doable if a kerbal is there in person.  Another option could be to just allow it for a limited time after placing so that we can correct typos but not lose the permanent nature of them.

Editing flag (and vessel) names is possible from the tracking station, by opening the knowledge base with the flag as the focused object and clicking on its name.

Bless you for this nugget. I have a flag on Vall that reads Laythe because... well because I didn't know this. Will be fixed shortly.

On a semi-related note (Mods, please let this through), my first Kerbal Touched down from space, And I wanted to put down a flag. Typo, took down the flag, and it isn't in his inventory. are flags 1 use?

@Andem yes they are. There was a thread here recently, will see if i can find it. Short Answer: You have to re-enter your craft to get a new flag.

Editing the vessel name is possible via the knowledge base from the tracking station, NOT the flags however.. Sadly, I just tested this.
