ksp 1.0.5 no sound

I have been playing ksp 1.0.5 with a bunch of mods, and I am now there is suddenly no audio. The only thing that has changed between the time when I could play just fine and when I could not is that I VERY recently got a new monitor. (Now I am playing in 1080p instead of 780p) Any ideas how I can get my sound back?

For anyone to be of help we'd need to know a few things, namely what mods you are using.

Also, is it just KSP or does the sound work for other games?

Lastly and I know this sounds stupid but nothing is muted right? Check the TV volume setting/In game volume setting/Computer volume setting.

Finally, I have checked the all of the volume settings in and out of KSP, and none of them are muted.

Do you get the sound back if you turn the resolution back down?  That's a lot of mods - perhaps you're now running out of memory? (Sorry - stab in the dark, there - but I can't think what else to try other than selectively turning the mods off till you find the culprit).

I have tried reducing the resolution, and that has not worked. Also, I have 8GB of RAM and KSP runs at just under 1.4 GB with my current configuration.

I am also having this problem. It can't be RAM because I have 16GB of it. I've seen the answers for other people, mostly from a few years ago, saying to check the Windows sound mixer to see if KSP is muted, which wasn't the issue, and I checked the GameData/Squad/Sounds folder and confirmed all the audio files there do work in my media player.

EDIT: I discovered that the "Music" slider adjusts the ambient noise as well, the absence of which is what caused me to think I had no audio. Everything's fine now.
