looking at these samples, I'm going to have to try it. it might make my smaller SSTO designs work better, or look cooler. Cooler though is better.

How easy is it to fly something like that? I've always had trouble with designing planes, would that make it easier?

Yep, that's a clever trick.  Although I expected a post on that upper stage that uses backwards pointing engines.

I'll have to dig around, but for example, this one went in all kinds of different directions shortly after I took this shot:

Flameout on engines 1, 2, and 3.

This is..: Fly forward, reverse engine and then fly backwards.

Nice idea for a challenge perhaps ?
