Why you shouldn't use fraps.

Ok so I have been recording videos of KSP and other random stuff to potentially upload to my YT channel... well I havent uploaded any of it so it all sits on my computer.
Now I got this computer just over 2 months ago, and I have already filled up 1.7 TB on my 1.81 TB HHD. I am going to use OBS instead now, If anyone can recommend a greater recording software, please do so.

What is your GPU? If it is Nvidia 700 series, try nvidia shadow play.

479 Videos. Properties is telling me the length is '13:37:08'. I do not know if that is hh/mm/ss or what though :P.

The reason for this is that when Fraps records, it doesn't compress it, taking up way more memory than it should. Bandicam is a pretty good alternative.

Large file size is not something that should deter you from using Fraps, if you have no problem storing that one video capture you are currently working on. Once you edit and render the video you get rid of the original huge file (or replace it with a compressed one).

Why would you keep raw footage?
