He-162 Volksjager (Stock) W.I.P!

Recommended Posts

I made the aircraft I love the most in stock, yes, it is mediocre, but it will be a WIP until I find I like the way it looks, and cannot make it better.

V-1

Current Issues:

-Nose

-Vertical tail surface sizing

-Cockpit incomplete

-Engine doesn't have "hump" seen on Jumo 004 due to engine control unit

-No tail "bump" to prevent ruining tail when tail striking

It's very cute looking and does look like the real one. Nice job!

Thanks! I plan on getting a full cockpit, and getting it looking exactly like the real one, possibly upping the scale in 1.1 update to make it even more realistic :)

I like it.... very German looking.... :)

And your name... Heinkel would be very proud....

BUT, can you do non German craft as well? I'd like to see a flying wing again....

Yes indeed! Any flying wing in particular you would like to see? I take replica requests for my craft page (in my signature)!

But thinking about it... The Vulcan bomber would also make my day...

I get goosebumps just thinking of that gorgeous delta wing..... :)

Alrighty! I shall attempt a Vulcan soon(TM)

I made a tail-less plane for shiz and giggles a while ago... Went mach 2 ASL if it wanted to... on pulsejets... shouldn't be possible, but KSP heh

Well done ! And your pilot got more luck than Gotthold Peter.

Gotthold Peter was flying the first A-0 variant using the corrosive wing glue, which was switched out after the A-1, and A-2 variants for a glue that held much better, and wasn't as toxic, no other He-162's were reported to have lost a wing every unless it was from hitting the ground.

About the glue if I remember correctly the next prototypes have received the same (from stocks) as the one applied on Ta-154 protos and pre-series variants.

Indeed, plywood and phenolic resin were used in all Ta- series designs, and in the He-162.

Phenol formaldehyde resin is the full name.

Why was this rated at 1 star? Seriously? Is it that bad guys?
