Frozen_Heart
When they say splashdown, do they mean controlled landing into the water or did they just let the thing fall?

Scotius
Perfect, textbook launch And awesome view of the rocket - i've never seen first stage separation and fairing jettisoning from the groundside. Techpriest93
that was awesome! My first ever seeing a live Falcon 9 launch.Same, although my computer froze up during the launch and I had to switch over to my phone, missing the first bit of it! Part count must of been too high.Wish they showed more of the first stage after separation :/
sgt_flyer
http://www.spacex.com/press/2015/02/11/dscovr-launch-updatehere's the answer for 'stage 1 splashdown' : extreme weather at recovery site, + the drone recovery platform only has 3 engines out of 4 working (hard to stationkeep) so they only tried a controlled sea softlanding. Airlock
Absolutely the most beautiful launch I've ever seen. Go check out the NASA stream for replays from various camera angles.
Fuzzy Dunlop
Was really confused by the clock flashing yellow? Apparantly Falcon 9 is too much for the universe to simulate in real time?

Frozen_Heart
Was really confused by the clock flashing yellow? Apparantly Falcon 9 is too much for the universe to simulate in real time?It has quite a few parts so the physics engine probably struggles a bit. We'll have to wait for an update...
