Is there any logic why after Windows 8 they released Windows X ?..

From the same company that also had Win ME, Win 2000 and Win XP as version names?  I think it's fair to say that expecting a logical progression of version numbers may be too much to hope for.  Strictly speaking Win 10 was NT 6.4 up to a certain point in its development.

Kerbart has the explanation that seems most plausible to me, although I suspect marketing had a hand in it somewhere too.

On topic:  The Romans only knew about the planets out to Saturn because they are visible to the naked eye.

Perhaps the first idea of Planet X is like 2500 years old and based on an idea where all planets in our solar system orbit around the sun which in turn orbits around a central universal fire.

It's the counter-earth (i'll just assume here that any planet X can be any unknown)
