Hi axcon,

RPM support is there, using the ASET props, my mod however will not include the displays until youve unlocked more advanced cockpits, that means you start with basic flight instruments, just like in real life, think 1950's tech, then 1970's, 90's, finally full glass cockpits. :)

Thank you for the feedback mate.

Im using a new method to create prop placements, namely with panel arrangement much like in real life. This allows me to put together an IVA a little quicker, and be creative with the limited real estate within the pits.

Here is the MK1 Inline version A (full analog) using those panels:

How does this look?

Quick test video (better quality next time :P )

I'm ecstatic you're working on IVAs again!  :D

This first one looked pretty good in the video. The only thing I would change is to rearrange the instruments to be closer to the classic sixpack. The attitude indicator is usually placed top center, with airspeed and altitude adjacent on either side, since those are the most crucial references for pure instrument flight. The direction indicator is almost always underneath the attitude indicator. Also, instruments of related function are usually grouped together: altitude above vertical speed, airspeed near machmeter, engine-related instruments clustered together, that kind of thing. Oh, and I'm not sure why you have both an HSI and a DG grouped together... Wouldn't the HSI do both jobs?

Criticism aside... the general layout and overall "look" is fantastic!

Hi White Owl,

Thank you! I was drawing inspiration from the Super Sabre Cockpit, hence some of the placement - It is still a work in progress, and I will try different arrangements. I'm looking to give completely different "learning curves" with each pit so trying to fix on an aircraft type, and evolve it from there.

I'll post some alternative arrangements, let me know how it looks.

P.S. good point on the duplicate instruments, struggle between filling the space and functionality. :P

I sure would love more digital displays, but full glass cockpit might be too overkill.

It will be "tasteful" :P

And F22 for the "glass" look:

Looks very promising! :)

But please, don't forget about Mk1 cockpits implementations for orbiter, not only for planes :)

There are very good space capsule IVAs out there, I think Alexustas does a much better than I in that department, but I will eventually give it a go.

I love the SXT parts, I did the Kossak in an earlier version but the performance wasnt there, I will get to those once Im done with the SQUAD pits.

Kind of off topic, but have you considered making some custom pages to display more of the info that is available with ASET avionics than the standard rpm/ASET page provide? Even further though exponentially less likely a tie in to BDArmory to display radar? Long shot , but thought I'd mention the ideas.

Pits are are looking really good I think the layout will make info readily available without overwhelming.

I havent looked into making custom pages, however Alexustas has looked into the BD tie in and it looks like it needs some programming to get it to work - would be a little out of the way for now, but I can look at it if there is a chance for it.

Thank you for the feedback!
