I accidentally opened KSP twice and got some error during the loading screen, this appeared:

 

 

Kraken is that you?

You can see it actually transferring from the other dimension!

 

I assume you did the right thing and burned down your house.

I had the same thing whilst looking at the KSC  in 1.1.2. Tbh, I couldnt care that much as it doesnt affect the gameplay at all.

It's all the part prefabs that have been loaded into the game. They're rendering for... some reason. You could probably identify which ones based on that pipe.

BTW, what you are seeing there are 2 of the Kraken's scales and the end tip of one if his tentacles....I sincerely hope you shut down your Hadron Collider in time.

To me, that just looks like a chunk of the mun - okay what the heck, is that a pipe? What's a pipe doing on the mun? Or is that the brother of the Kraken?
