Can you refuel your (IKS) International Kerbal Station?

Hi, 

Yesterday I flew in Sandbox a Science Lab to Kerbin's orbit, my science station only have RCS fuel tanks engines to move around, So I thought today: is there any way that I could refuel my RCS tanks in space?

Dock an RCS tank to the station and go nuts.

If you forgot to add a docking port to your station put a 'claw' on your refuelling tanker.

You have a docking port I presume.

Launch a ship capable of going to mun, but replace some fuel tanks with RCS tanks, and don't go to mun.

Instead, dock with the station, and transfer the supplies over.  (You may need to upgrade a KSC building to enable fuel transfers)  Right click two tanks and you'll get

 

I try to only launch such supply missions from Kerbin when it is an emergency or early on in the tech tree.  After I've got ISRU, I'll have a few minmus tankers floating around LKO with 150 tons of fuel to deliver on demand for free.

 

PS:

If you have KAS installed, you can also rendezvous and use the wrench to bolt on some radial-attach RCS tanks to your station to restock it.

Once docked, just right click both tanks and hit "in" on the one you want filled or "out" on the one you want empty. Be sure to fill any offset tanks evenly to maintain your center of mass.

Also, if you're new to all this.. docking is a pretty tricky thing. It takes most newbies a long time to get it down. Be ready to go watch some tutorial videos on youtube.

The in-game tutorials are quite useful, or you can check out Scott Manley's fabulous tutorial videos. He covers docking in these two videos: Career Mode Guide Part 17 and Career Mode Guide Part 18.

In my humble opinion, docking is actually one of the hardest and also one of the most rewarding things in KSP. So have fun!

If you mean in your rendevous, then you probably didn't kill your relative velocity.

I usually cheat and use MechJeb, but once in a while I'll do it manually if I got nothing else I feel like doing for a night.

 

It took me a little more than 3 real life™ hours about a week ago - and that's with me having done it before.

If it's your first time, don't expect it to be a 5 minute "point and click".

When you do a rendez vous in Mechjeb, is there a warp time (fast forward) button for it?

 

Yesterday I tried the rendez vous option on Mechjeb and it seemed it was going to take forever for the rendez vous and when I clicked the speed up button it automatically returned to normal speed.

What I normally do is to include either a jr. docking port and/or the small valve from KAS on my space stations. I use these to transfer resources - including fuel. It allows me to have a reason for frequent rendez-vous maneuvers to the station. I also have a line of tanker craft that I use to ferry fuel (including monopropellant) to the station. What other use are spaceplanes...?
