The Turing Test

This can go wrong in less than an hour, so I'll explain it in the briefest of all briefness:

There are three players in each round:

1. The interrogator: You will have to face two subjects. One of them is the Computer, the other is the Human. You DO NOT know which one is which. You have to determine that based on text written by the subjects. YOU CAN ASK YOUR SUBJECTS 5 QUESTIONS BEFORE EACH GUESS.

2. The Human: You will answer to the interrogator, in your average, normal way. Please limit yourself to calm, formal language, as otherwise you will be clearly distinguishable from the computer (player 3).

3. The Computer: You will find phrases on the internet, or phrases from any artificial intelligence that you have or know, to best answer the interrogator's questions in the most human way possible, via copy-paste. You will have to find the most human phrases possible.

The test works in a simple way:

If an interrogator easily distinguishes the machine from the human, or vice versa, he will correctly say which one is which. In that case, the machine does not pass the Turing test.

If an interrogator has a difficult time, and cannot distinguish the machine from the human, he will say so (i.e. "Uhh, man. I can't do this. I give up"). In that case, the machine passes the turing test.

So read those rules over a few million times, and PAY ATTENTION TO THE FOLOWING:

- During the round, ONLY THE INTERROGATOR SAYS WHO HE IS. The rest CANNOT REVEAL THEIR ROLES.

You saw that text? It was in caps lock, and in a bright red colour. I don't usually write like that, so you have to take the hint- the above information is crucial to the game, and I do not want this page to fall apart because someone skimmed over it.

Whoever wants to compete, send me a PRIVATE message, and state the role that you want to play. I will choose.

Also, three chosen members have to recommend a game mode:

1. Standard Test: The investigator has to distinguish between computer and human.

2. Imitation Game: The computer has to convince the investigator that it is a human. The real human, in turn, tries to tell the investigator the truth.

3. Extra Credit: The computer has to investigate the investigator that he's a computer. :P

Let the test begin.

Scoreboard:

Round 1: Cake99 as investigator, Cubinator as machine, Atlas 2342 as human. Cubinator lost the test after 9 questions, putting him in 1st place.

It appears no one has asked for a position as of yet, other than a tiny amount of people. Excuse me if I seem self-centered, but I don't want this to fall apart so quickly. Thanks.

How long might a game last? Would I need to be around all the time?

Naw. You'll just need to talk with the interrogator. The point of the test is to see if the interrogator can distinguish the "machine" from the human. He does that buy observing the speech, reactions, etc, of the subjects.

Treat it like a normal conversation- just put in an indication that you're not a spectator, and are actually in the round.

Alright, then. I'll try it!

Honestly, they all do the same functions but still, they are “different”. As long as I am able to get on the Internet, I’m happy. But I have been a loyal browser user for Chrome. I love the extensions and the simple layout.
