Charkim Paul
I made lots of cars, but no one can be driven steadily.I think they are too light or heavy so they always turn over or the wheels are broken even explode Edited May 29, 2016 by Charkim Paul
Kerbin vonKerbal
Pictures of failed craft you've tried would be helpful, but low and wide is the best way to go if you can. Keep the CoM low and widen up the wheel-base.
Jhawk1099
Here is a couple dune buggies I threw on the Mun. Skip to 16:30 for them to actually start driving on the Mun
Lunar Sea
I made this one just a few weeks ago and it works pretty well. Drove it from the Northwest Crater to the Polar Lowlands (yeah, that took a while). Once it gets up to 20m/s or so I switch on the reaction wheels (note the extra set behind the cockpit) and SAS. This keeps it level when clears a hill or small rise and leaves the ground Dukes of Hazzard-style. If you're quick on the rotation keys it's possible to recover from some mishaps and keep the wheels level if it flips. Downhill I've hit 40m/s which is pushing it but still controllable. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/140168-vtol-roadster/#comment-2595362
Vanamonde
This is going to end up being a craft sharing thread, and so it has been moved to Spacecraft Exchange.
Majorjim!
The tips above are good. Wide wheels base and width, low COM. You need to drive carefully too! Try adding some reaction wheels too. They can help correct flips ans whatnot.
