I3laze Posted June 5, 2016 Share Posted June 5, 2016 Hi. I've just installed this mod and I cannot for the life of me figure out what it means by Experiment: Golf Scorecard. I've equip my recruited scientist with a golf club looking thing and ran a experiment with it at the desired location but it does not tick the box. It's asking me collect surface sample from "KSC's Midlands". I have no idea where that is, Kerbin doesn't seem to have a midland biome? Where do I need to go? thanks ! If not, then step two is do a text search for the string "KSC Midlands" or even just "midlands" since I think only the Mun and Minmus have it off the top of my head. (Edit: Nevermind, every celestial has a midlands apparently). Of infinitely more importance though: Are you messing with the Kerbal Academy flag in the OP? Everytime I load the page, it's switched from either one keral head to two. It's probably an aspect ratio issue or something mundane, but I'm more inclined to throw accusations of shenanigans. I checked the tech tree and non have a golf scorecard. If I let the contract expire in the offers list will it come up again? What Kerbal Academy (or rather Contract Configurator) does, is makes a list of every experiment available that meets the criteria (off the top of my head, I believe it's "any experiment on a body you have visited, where the biome holds more science than you currently have in your pot"). Then it picks one of those at random. So, you will get other experiments, but you may see the scorecard repeated too. Unfortunately, without knowing the mod it comes from, I'm not able to filter those out. @Deimos Rast - IMGUR being weird. I uploaded the flag image directly, which is smaller than the average image, so it seems to want to fill the space. On my phone it looks fine, on my PC I get a double image. Do you have the Surface Experiment mod installed? If so it should be through clicking on your guy on EVA I think (there is a golf club "experiment") might be related, not sure. Also, you can accept/decline and complete contracts from the Debug menu. You could just complete it and subtract the funds (or not). I used a golf club looking thing but when I equipped it on Eva it cancels out all the check marks because I'm not in the vessel. Sounds like you may have the same issue as @holymoly, so questions: 1) what contract was it? 2) Please provide a save. 3) Any mods that move KSC, or fiddle with planets (like Kopernicus)? I accepted a Boot Camp contract and didn't realize until I was at the airfield, exploring EVA, that it was a science boot camp. After recovering Marvin and his plane the contract said "vessel: Marvin Kerman". So I launched him onto the runway and took an EVA report, that went ok and completed the EVA report requirement. But Marvin is a pilot so it didn't complete the contract. I launched Herman, a level zero scientist. Recovering him without doing an EVA report on the runway completed the contract. severedsolo Posted June 11, 2016 Author Share Posted June 11, 2016 So I've had an idea on how to fix the Boot Camp stuff once and for all, before I resort to drastic measures. Unfortunately, it will have to wait, as I have a policy of not releasing updates when a KSP update is in experimentals (just makes life easier for CKAN, because it means I don't have to do an empty update) Also, I have family visiting for the next 10 days (ish) so support will be slim/non existent for the next 2 weeks.
