Teh_Miner101
Does anyone know the altitude of the highest point/mountain/peak/hill/areallyhighplace on the Mun is so I can get the lowest, safest orbit possible? It just means one less dead trio of kerbals. If I go lower than that otherwise I risk hitting something and Jeb would not be happy. Thanks 8)
purple100
Past discussions have concluded that you will be safe at 4 kilometers, potentially even less.

Cryphonus
4 km? Sweet. and sorry if this is a sort of noob question by the way ???If you are orbiting at the equator you can go like 3kmish.
AlternNocturn
I\'ve had stable orbits near 2km, perfectly equatorial. I was looking for Munoliths.
Vanamonde
I once hit a mountain at c. 2300, so 2000 is definitely not OSHA-approved.
Zack
Since the new mun I hit things in even a 4k orbit. Can we revive this and find the new highest point?

Can we revive this and find the new highest point?Let's not, it's already been discussed in more recent threads. That said, locking this.
