Thank the community. Depending on their location, each 'monolith' has its own noms de guerre. If it is on Kerbin, which has a few, it is a kerbilith. If it is on the Mun(about 2-3 at least documented), then it is a munolith. And if it is on Minmus(or floating, as it were) then it is a minmolith. Whether there is a kerbolith remains to be seen, though you would need to borrow Jeb\'s shades for that.

Whether the future planets get their own black monuments remains to be seen, but it is pretty safe to deduce their specific names will have a twist on their planetary location slipped in. For example, if the next planet out from Kerbin is named 'Kars', which I rather hope it isn\'t, then any monoliths on its vicinity would probably be called karboliths.

Oh god guys, I\'ve just figured it out. This is the TIP of something, maybe a little bit more of whatever\'s beneath pushes up every update! Maybe there\'ll be an event upon update 0.30 where whatever\'s inside breaks the mun temporarily and there\'s a prize rather like the tester shades for whoever lands on the most mun chunks! Someone, go check on its position throughout the updates!

My guess is, That is where the space Kraken is. And the Arch, Which is part of it\'s body, is capable of producing an energy beam that causes ships that go out of Kerbins influence to glitch and/or explode.

Finally got back there to collect the evidence. As I noted, occasional graphics glitches reveal there is nothing under the arches; you are looking up at my Kerbal through the surface of Mun, from underneath.

Despite the hoaxers I would like to propose an alternate strategy for the Trojan arch.

We simply locate and hollow out another arch and bring it the location, saving fuel.
