I have an idea for a new system!

Description: This star spins at 1.5 million km/h, one of the fastest spinning stars we've ever discovered. If it spun any faster, centrifugal forces would've torn it apart in a massive explosion. But no, centrifugal forces have in fact torn some of the equator off to form a giant ring, and out of that material, three shepherd planets were born!

Mass: 2.98 Earth masses

Description: This planet is the first of three shepherd planets, and is a yellow-hot mess. It was and still technically is, because it's so hot. The core and the "crust" are almost the same temperature, so there's so little magnetic field that even our most sensitive sensors can't detect a trace amount of magnetic field.

Description: Pitunda is a sort of mystery, as it's farther away than Elluad but it's hotter than it, has twice it's density, and has no atmosphere. So we have the same issue as with Elluad with the whole magnetic field thing. I guess it would make a good place to roast marshmallows under a planet-wide "fire".

It has an atmospheric pressure of 1.16 atmospheres, suggesting that it would be significantly cooler without it.

But the Mofeku are an interstellar race that just look for planets to put colonies on, so they gave Sis Tun an atmosphere and water, and a magnetic field, and did the same to it's moon Niae and turned it's asteroid moon into a moon covered in factories, solar panels, and nuclear reactors. Then they colonized Sis Tun and Niae, Niae being a popular vacation spot.

So they put all the bad stuff, prisons, factories, and nuclear power plants on Somn to make Sis Tun and it's major moon Niae as clean, pure, and enjoyable as possible.

However, only Niae has rainforests and more intelligent life, somewhat like our apes, in the trees. Sis Tun has less complex life for reasons we don't understand, and only has pocket forests, possibly so they could continue to study the trees and how they were adapting to the new environment.

Some scientists suggest that the reason why it is hotter than Elluad is because it contains some sort of mineral that traps heat more efficiently. But its crazy... Is it?

Competition Monolith

The Hagito Galaxy has earned its fifth system! To Celebrate this, I am launching a small competition to create a Civilization!

Rules:

1. Civilizations have to be technologically advanced enough to explore space, but not to advanced to explore it with ease (meaning they have space programs similar to ours, possibly a little more efficient. But they still can make major mistakes.) This also means it takes time for them to explore their system, making colonization harder for them.

2. Colonies are allowed, as long as the planets your civilization has colonized are not that far away. Colonies also have to have a form of communication to your species homeworld.

3. Alongside the Civilization comes their system. The system must include their star, their homeworld (which has to have a minimum of a major moon (500km or above in size)). And at least 2 Planets are 3 moons distributed to the other planets. You can increase this number as much as you like. As long as the system proves to be stable.

4. No Humans or Human like species`. Remember this galaxy is trying its best to be as realistic as plausible. Thus sapient species would not evolve to be like us.. And hagito is located 19.82 BILLION light years away from our galaxy...

5. A picture of your species is recommended, but is not required. This also boosts your chance of winning, as it helps visualize the species...

6. Your species must have access to water, metal, oxygen, a magnetosphere and energy.

Description: Nustasci is a planet undisturbed by the disaster that caused its star to plummet to the central black hole. It houses a sapient species that named the star HGTO-7479-74893-23 when they first started looking up to the stars.

Expanding on this civilisation:

Name: Nustascians

Appearance: They are an insect-like species, however are bipedal and use their two front legs to interact with the environment. They are herbivorous and do not eat meat, however meat is used in special ceremonies. The have compund eyes and antennae much like insects.

Population: 3.42 Billion

Aggressiveness: 1, however 20% of the population can be at 7 at times.

Technology Focus: Space and agriculture, although religious ceremonies are very common.

Homeworld: Nustasci HGTO-7479-74893-13a

Colonized worlds: Nustasci, however multiple missions using HGTO as a gravity assist point have technically colonised multiple planets in the nearest 100ly. The Nustascians have also created mass space stations on killer asteriods. Small Dwarf Planets in the system have also been colonised.

History: The Nustascians have been around for approximately 3 million years, and witnessed the event that caused its homeworld to fall into the "darkness", although they will not say how this happened. The disaster was the first major point in their history, as Nustasci was promptly bombarded with a 50km asteriod. The Nustascians managed to create food and water underground, and used both terrathermal heat and the melted surface to create heat and eventually electricity. Most of their technology comes from this underground living, and has allowed them to survive the thousand years they spent underground. Plants began to grow on Nustasci's surface allowing the species to rise back to the surface. A world wide war promptly destroyed more than three quarters of the population because the only two habitable areas were connected. The remains of one side lays in the 20% of Nustascians that are agressive at times. The species are not separated into different nations, since after the war a world wide treaty has stopped them from doing so. Spaceflight was achieved approximately two hundred years ago, and has advanced to interstellar travel.

Interestingly, the Nustascians only mention the disaster of Nxian when they say HGTO-7479-74893-23 by its full name, Hot Giant Titanic Object, which is a very common thing.

Description: The Nustascians are a sapient species with a exceptionally high knowledge of the Hagito Galaxy, and have supposedly detected galaxies as far away as the Milky Way. They are passive (well, most of them) and have always tried to create peaceful releations with each other. They are very sensitive about the Nxian Disaster and always change the subject unless you say Hot Giant Titanic Object in their language. They have only mentioned something usefull about the disaster once, and that is:

Do not taunt the Hot Giant Titanic Object. It flung us into the darkness and we hate it for that.

Many asteriod's orbits were severly affected by this encounter, and all three planets and the moon were bombarded with fragments, most notably HGTA (HGTO's Asteriod) that destroyed much of the Nustascians civilisation. The ecounter also sparked a nova and CME from both stars, disrupting the life on Nustasci. Most of the matter ejected out of the stars was also sent out of the system. The Nustascians in fact went underground even before HGTO was close enough to cause damage, as the surface of the planet had warmed.

Accepted, however. Gravity assisting will only add a few kilometers per second. I think a alcubierre drive would be more efficient for interstellar travel...I also changed a tiny word, if that is fine for you...

Name: The Primordials

 

Biology: The Primordials in anyway possible, resemble earth quids.However primordials have 12 arms, each with 2 fingers situated at the end of each one. As well as a thumb. Primordials are carbon based creatures, and thus have similar structures at the atomic level than us. Their sensory organs include eyes, which are placed in a circle around the "head" of a primordial. A "nose", although a primordial smells through its skin. And touch, which is probably one of their most `human like` feature of a primordial, as it had evolved a sensory system similar to our nervous system. The skin of a primordial is blueish green, this was evolved throughout primordial history to blend in easily within the clouds of their homeworld and the photo-plankton that floating freely through their homeworlds turbulent atmosphere. Primordials have a built in jet, which is powered by oxygen. The oxygen soaks through their skin (similar to how insects breath), and some of it is distributed between the book-lungs and a storage container. Within this storage container is a controlled flap that controls the amount of oxygen allowed through a `tube`. Within this `tube` oxygen that passes through mixes with minute amounts of chemicals created within the primordials (inside other containers.) These gasses consist of chemicals that explode violently with oxygen. however, this reaction is after a set time, normally reacting  3 seconds after mixing. And due to the minute amounts, the temperature doesn't go over 67oC. After `exploding` the energy expelled produces thrust, and thus allowing a primordial to fly through an atmosphere with ease. A primordial also have webbed tentacles, though not much. And to allow easy maneuvering in an atmosphere, small fins stick out from their `head`. Primordials receive food by soaking in microorganisms through small microscopic holes within their skin. This is the reason why special feeding rooms were developed on lost colonized planets before being trapped on Norai...

History: Primordials evolved approx 6.2 billion years go. This was extremely rare to happen as the galaxy was still chaotic and unfit for sapient life, however whatever the case. The primordials survived and surprisingly thrived. Their large `brains` (or whatever stored information on their homeworld) grew exponentially large and created sapience within them. With this newfound intelligence. The Primordials befriended and exploited animals that lived on the outskirts of their homeworlds atmosphere, by waiting for said creatures to come down into the thicker layers where the primordials could survive and thus tame. Using these animals creatures aliens the primordials could reach into the upper atmosphere, some of these aliens could also escape into space altogether! After millions of years, some primordials found out that the rings of their gas giant consisted of large proportions of metals. Using techniques and a lot of luck. The primordials began deorbiting these asteroids, and using plants native to their homeworld. Managed to stop the asteroids from falling into the deeper atmosphere and getting incinerated...

Fast forward a couple hundred years, and already Primordials have started forming nations across the planet. Using metal and plants and supports to stop their `home`s` from falling into the abyss. The metal age had already arrived, and thus the primordials had started to exploit fire, luckily. The oxygen contents of their atmosphere are similar to earth levels, and nitrogen is more common than oxygen. Using plants or premade metal, primordials create fire, which they feed till it is at suffice heat levels and then melt iron, which they add carbon. This creates steel, and thus steel based weapons were forming. With the introduction of deadly weapons comes the introduction of war, nations started attacking each other left and right. Thousands of primordials were killed or sold as slaves. But this era of war started to cease, as peace was quickly found as an alternative. With peace comes progress, can after hundreds of years. Nations join to form larger nations, and eventually countries.

Fast forwarding the primordials eventually discovered electricity, using it they created many forms of technology. From machines to factories. From lights to the internet (or some alien type of it.) Many primordials were bent on exploring the dark void above them. It alluded them, thus a spacecraft was created,  it flew it reached outside of the atmosphere, a tremendous achievement. However, mistakes can be made. As the primordial who piloted the spacecraft got out... Without a suit, as the dangers of space were unnoticed. Almost instantly he froze, boiled, and exploded inside, killing him near instantly. The Primordials now know the dangers of space...

Thousands, millions, BILLIONS of years later. The primordials have created a tremendous civilization among the stars, they have ascended multiple species to the point of sapience. And the primordials were the top dogs amongst all civilizations. However, one of their ascended species, the Y`itava, waged war with their own creators. 99.99% of the Primordials died, due to them not putting up a fight, and that they allowed their species to be nearly wiped out. The  Y`itava, realizing that their creators had created them and allowed them to be what they are today. Spared the Primordials BUT placed them on a isolated moon in orbit around a gas giant. As a `prison` for their creators...

 

Description: Not much is known about the Primordials, new sapient species never see them. And thus never adapt them as their gods. The Primordials are of course, the first sapient species in the Galaxy. And thus that adds mystery on how had they survived for that long...

Name: Mofeku

 

Appearance: The Mofeku look like snakes with arms, and they do eat meat, and thus are carnivores, but they are very nice when you get to know them. They never go to war, especially with each other, but if they meet a species who decides to wage war with them, and actually attack their colonized planets, they will bring out all of their war material, and show themselves to be militarized too.

 

Population: 50 Billion in total (Across all their colonies, Sis Tun has about 35.74 B, Somn has 1,010, Niae has about 15.36 B.)

 

Aggressiveness: 0.01, however, during war they are 10.

 

Technology Focus: Military, Astronomy, Colonization, and Terraforming.

 

Homeworld: None, their home world was deterraformed and made completely uninhabitable by a nearby race of aliens... (So technically, Sis Tun is their home planet.)

 

Colonized worlds: Sis Tun, Somn (for factories and stuff like that), and Niae are their main colonies.

 

History: The Mofeku used to live on a beautiful blue world in the habitable zone of an orange dwarf named "Mena B", and they noticed that their neighboring planet was growing hazier and hazier, until they couldn't see the surface anymore. Then they realized that their neighboring planet probably had an intelligent race living on it, and they likely polluted it, creating the atmospheric haze they saw. After they realized that, they started seeing UFOs hovering over their homeworld. Then, they landed and convinced most of the Mofeku to come aboard their ships, as they said they knew a perfect world they could colonize and share with them. Of course, these were bad aliens, and took them to the "polluted world" as the Mofeku called it, and used them as slaves. The ones that didn't go, these aliens knew about them, so they started coming back there to try again, but to no avail. Then they started deterraforming their home planet, and all the Mofeku left their planet. However, these aliens kept at it, and in about an earth year, the Mofeku's home world was covered in ice and barely had an atmosphere, so all life died out. We don't really know the age of their species, but we know they came into existence before Nyx existed. (Wipe out the whole "we don't know their age" thing, along with this message if you are putting this into the Mofeku's perspective. Even if you aren't, wipe this whole message. :P)

Sorry, I don't have many specifics on body mass, density, etc. But I do have some.

Behold, the Braknek (Brack-neck.) A strong race of humanoids. They have 4 arms each, and 3 legs. Their religion centers around combat and a winner-takes-all mentality. However, they are now mostly civilized, and gladiatorial combat is now a Expert only, televised sport. They are ready for any sort of war with an arsenal of much higher caliber weapons than anyone else, and they have a great store of it, but unless provoked, they will not use it senselessly. Their planet is rare, because it's a  binary planet system, each one almost identical, circling together in a stable orbit around it's star. It has 1 moon, which keeps the whole system stable.

Due to moving and holiday, I can't currently accept the system. However if we had a second mod then he could test the system for stability! But there are some interesting descriptions for those bodies. It's also nice it incorporates into another users civilisation, however if the mofeku OC doesn't like the system. He is allowed to change said system.

Behold, the Braknek (Brack-neck.) A strong race of humanoids. They have 4 arms each, and 3 legs. Their religion centers around combat and a winner-takes-all mentality. The project has come A long way, and now it has over 1000 views! I am deeply gracious on all those who have sticked with its progress. And thus I am starting a competition to celebrate (the previous one is going to stop now. As no one participated.)

Lonesome Stars

The galaxy has many submitted systems, but all are focused on the worlds orbiting the giant nuclear furnaces that provide the galaxies light. So how about we give these giants some loves?

Rules:

-Systems must include only stars, rings are allowed as they could give uniqueness to a star.

-Systems can include civilisations. This will add flavour to a stars history.

-No inappropriate names for stars in a system.

-Systems must display stability. Otherwise they won't be put into the contest.

-You have to be nice to other contestants.

-Have fun!

 

Winner will be decided with the most unique system, alongside runner-ups and 2nd and 3rd places.
