Kerbal Seat Ejection Force and Speed

Recommended Posts

Hello.

Is there a way to adjust the Kerbal Seat Ejection force and speed?

I'm using the module on a modeled Seat, that i put inside the crew module i did. But when i Choose on Kerbal to leave seat, it jump out through the window.

I know i can manage the direction, but even if i put the vector to front of the ship, then it jump a long way until out of vessel.

Is there a code on cfg i cam put inside the KerbalSeat module that adjust that force?

Thank you!

I looked at the KerbalSeat class and it does not appear to have any more unique fields than what is already there. Have you tried setting the direction to 0, 0, 0? What about negative values?

Out of curiosity, why not just use regular internal seats with a transparent glass canopy? Unless you're trying to get an "IVA" you can walk around in...which would be cool.

As an aside, I have tried using decouplers to create kerbal ejection seats, but that ejected the kerbal from the seat at force. Not ideal and not what you're looking for probably.

I believe the code on the mod for Kerbal to leave a set, is that it will put the Kerbal out of the vessel, in the given direction, it don't care if is 1 mm or 10 meters in that direction, so for you to be sure, i already try changing the direction do Z+ (front in SPH, or up in the VAB), and even in a very long vessel, the Kerbal jump to the front out of it. So, that manner, my mod (the link in the signature), already have internals, windows, but if i leave seat with windows closed, Kerbal will jump out through the glass. If i open window, it jump out the volume the vessel, and come back inside with gravity.

You already can walk inside the vessel. Go take a look!

Cheers!
