LaydeeDem
I also live in New Mexico. The monsoons have made things very beautiful. They're not without spectacle, though.

XB-70A
Some shots taken the last week while being in Brittany: The Saint-Mathieu lighthouse, located at the headland of the same name. Being freshly repainted it contrasts even better with the ruins of the abbey. Btw, about 15 minutes only had passed between the two pictures... typical local weather. Just a small edit to join the upper spider-crazy team: It was living in one of the umpteenth Tobruk fortifications... Bill Phil
This one's from last year's eclipse. I didn't get totality though... I almost had it but the camera just refused.

XB-70A
Some shot of AEHF 4 and its beautiful ride: Others are embedded. Spoiler I changed some little things in the settings and the aperture. It's a bit better now for the night shots, but still lower than what I would like

XB-70A
"Moar" rockets! Yesterday, I finally went back to the rocketry association (first time since January), and it was a great occasion to see some interesting models: The Mars fuming monster was still in service! All the others are in the spoiler. Spoiler This model accelerated so quickly that my sensor was unable to stay focused on it. Madness at the best. Beautiful model, which didn't end well, alas... The only picture I'm having of this model's launch. My continuous shooting failed for an unknown reason. ---------- Also, I found some pictures taken by one of my relative during the launch of CRS-13 in last December. Spoiler If zoomed in, it is possible to distinguish the central Merlin starting to be re-ignited. For sure his FZ25 took better pics than my VX981. XB-70A
Drove a bit around my place during the last days: Seems like the F-4D had been repainted lately. Spoiler This 900 was the surprise of the day. The Birds III: FloridAttack - Pretty ironic for an R44 Raven to be surrounded by all these boat-tailed grackles. Two birds for the price of one. Third time I went to see 56-0687. Just an umpteenth time at Playalinda: Spoiler My first occasion to see the 39A new bridge.
maceemiller
Here's a picture I took last week after strapping my Samsung S9+ to my small reflector telescope. I did lower the glare slightly to show more detail of the Moon. Edited October 30, 2018 by maceemiller
Green Baron
View over the Caldera de Taburiente rim: A few telescopes are visible, but most of them hide behind the crest. Weathered phonolithic pile in the foreground. At the far left sheets of the former Taburiente shield volcano and at the far center, through the clouds, what seems like dikes and vents of Taburiente's predecessor Volcan de Garafia. Literally a section through a volcanic edifice (continuing below the cloud cover). Edited October 30, 2018 by Green Baron
