Hi!

More seriously (but only a little bit!) I just want to say hello and as an ongoing member hope I can help and offer opinion down the line. I have been following the game for a while and finally took the plunge and started playing, I have also seen quite a few of Scott Manley's vids on Youtube.

Is there anything else I should be looking out for, I don't want to mod the game yet as I am still working out the basics but if there are any QoL mods that are reccomended please let me know.

Hello @mjarbar and welcome to the forum! I'm sure you'll like it here. As for mods, I'm a fan of playing stock untill I feel I need something, then I'll look for a mod that matches my needs. Others prefer to go all out and install every mod they like the sound of, so it's very much a personal thing.

Glad you decided to take the dive.  A good mod to start with is Kerbal Engineer Redux, it was my.first mod and the one I still find most useful.
