Does anyone know some music I could use?

I'm looking for some background music to put on my KSP YouTube videos, (it needs to be free and under a Creative Commons Attribution licence, (having a non-commercial bit is fine), or a similar licence), I've checked some of Kevin Macleod's website, but I don't have the time to look through all of it.

There are some scenarios I could use it in, but IMO it doesn't really fit as launch music.

Kevin Macleod has a lot of good stuff. I personally like Killing Time and Rocket.

Some of Teknoaxe's stuff is free to use, but maybe not what you are looking for. 

 

FreeMusicArchive isn't all free to use, but there's some pretty good FTU stuff.

Always check licenses, "Free" means different things to different people and in different situations.

Saw NCS mentioned. Like a lot of their stuff. There is also Royal Trax. I'll also point directly to my personal favourite artist whose work is on NCS: K-391 (I think all his stuff on that channel is free).

So, I'm not really looking for websites to look through, I'm looking for specific music tracks, I don't have the time to look through entire websites.

You might be able to get a license for some music by contacting the artist.

If you can I wholly recommend something from Duran Duran, we can get another Duran (go to 2 hours 40 minutes in on the vod) rocket!

Not sure I can help with specific songs, at least, not for background music. I did maintain a playlist for a while, but it's mostly high energy songs since I was normally listening to it during launches, or playing World of Tanks.

 

That said, you might try Solstice  and maybe Lovers. Your best bet though is probably to just go to a channel like NCS and play all for an hour or so while playing KSP. That will quickly expose you to a lot of different artists and you can see if there is one who might have a few suitable songs you like.

Also, since it doesn't seem to get too amped up, try Fade.

I kind of figured that's what you were looking for. We could sit here all day listing stuff, as you could sit all day listening for stuff. lol

One of the things I often do is, for example, listen to SomaFM (Groove Salad). They play a lot of new and different stuff (new and different to me anyway). They cover a number of genera too, as do other stations... like CalmRadio, which, being a tinnitus sufferer, I also like. When I listen to SomaFM, when I hear something that strikes me, I check out their listing for what's currently playing and note the title and artist. From there, I explore further.

So, I've done some "research", AKA being lazy and not doing anything, and IMO Five Armies by Kevin Macleod works well.

Now I'm going to do some actual "research", by watching KSP videos with music and finding what music plays during launches, CAKE STYLE RESEARCH!
