Seeing as many more people are adding planets to the Kerbol Solar System, I want people to vote if community members can put their own planets into a modpack. I'm thinking of "Community Planet/Star Pack" or "The Community's Solar System"

I would have to say no UNLESS all planets were made using the same technique. Otherwise you would have ultra real looking mods like this (see below) sprinkled in with stock alike planets and they wouldn't look right together.

I vote no but only because I want the world's created to be unique even on the smallest detail. I don't want just a new rock; I want a new rock that has caves, ravines (REAL ravines, not canyons that we have now), volcanoes, etc. Planets that are truly unique and are well deserving of addition. I want to enjoy just WALKING on your planet, much less flying or landing. A walk on Earth's Moon would be an amazing experience through it's rich and unique lunarography. Most planets miss this aspect, including the stock bunch.

I have added everything you want in my planet pack :)

Caves? If you got that- I'm sold until the end of time or you drop development, whichever comes first (I hope the former).

Trust me if I say that it is not possible. I am working with the PQS for almost two years now, and I know how moddable it is. And it is slow, unefficient and not very moddable, so even if you had the skills to implement something like caves or voxel terrain, it would be time consuming and very very hard.

I give it two major updates. You forget, Squad changes the code as well. Not to mention they mentioned doing a terrain overhaul so would it not be conceivable for them to also maybe open a bit of backdoor modding options?

Point is- anything is possible.

Yes it's possible, if you don't mind writing a completely new planet rendering/interaction system. It's rather hard to do caves when the planet is defined by a heightmap...

On topic, not unless everything was made by the same group, or there are rigorous style reviews.
