It's not a particularly reliable metric - certain post types and/or certain subforums generate far more likes than others. You can outright farm it if you know what readers are likely to respond to. Of course, never sleeping and just posting 24/7, 365 days a year also helps (Hi @Red Iron Crown ) Still, it's a fun little thing to watch grow over time. Humans love numbers that go up over time.
