SA-43 HAMMERHEAD (Space Above and Beyond)

I got enspired to create another replica!

This was a cool series that was unfortunately cut short because not enough people were watching it. If you have never seen Space Above and Beyond I highly recommend doing so. You won't be disappointed if you like a war series placed in space.

Without further ado I proudly present my take on the:

SA-43 ENDO-EXO ATMOSPHERIC ATTACK JET aka HAMMERHEAD

It is an SSTO of course although getting this machine into orbit is quite hard and I cursed a good bit because I spiraled out of control more than once. Engines were a problem as well! First I tried stock RAPIERs but they are simply to weak to get the necessary speed. After that I tried B9 SABREs and they also failed me. I had to use OPT ARIs and that barely got it to orbit, because those empty the tanks rapidly. In the end I managed a 100 k orbit, with about 100 LF / 100 OX left.

The cockpit is of course nothing like the real Hammerhead but I haven't found a canopy that is more like it.

I managed to do this in stock aero but because it has zero vertical stabilization I doubt that I can manage the same thing in FAR.
