Craft thrown into sky over Dres on craft cycling.

I found a highly reproducible bug in one of my save games.  I'm currently on Windows 7, 64bit, running version 1.2.2.1622 in 64 bit mode.

When I fly the craft "Dres Twinrover Module Probe" on the surface of Dres, activate the next stage (decoupling the rockets from the rover) and use the "]" key to cycle through nearby craft; when I cycle back to the rover, it gets lifted off the ground to an altitude about 2794 meters and starts falling.

I can work around the bug myself, but I figured you might like to know regardless.  Any chance this is useful to you?

Many thanks, always useful to check things. However couldn't reproduce the issue in 4 tests with your savegame (interesting), KSP 1.2.2. (1622) x64 on Win 8.

I decouple the rover and cycle around, when back to that rover it is landed just fine. I had it flown away once, but only because used a bit of thrust with the rockets stage to move it away (it remained under the rover in that test).

@sal_vager,  I got very similar issue with KSP 1.2.1. and moded game. I'm still observing it to narrow down issue and provide reliable reproducing steps and more meaningful output log.

Trough my observations, seems that issue can be triggered more often if you have flag or more than one craft in close proximity. Only craft that is in main focus (the one that you switched to from tracking station) is jumped in air, while other nearby crafts behave as expected. Does not happen each time you switch to same craft, so it is tricky to provide reliable reproducing steps.

If it matters, I'm forcing DX11 and here is how my settings file look like:

Definitely interesting, tested with your settings.cfg and have the issue show everytime afterwards (even by changing settings back). Couldn't see a cause related to terrain settings however.

There's a line in the output_log quite telling, a very large ground contact error when I cycle back to the rover after staging and a full cycle of the local vessels:
