What is Gypsum, Karbonite, Hydrates ect.. In the resources menu??

One of the recent updates added resources, one which is ore which you can mine from planets, moons and asteroids. However, there seems to be a large amount of other resource types which I just cant seem to see a use for in game. The wiki states only about Ore in its resources page and no other natural element. 

 

All of this came to my attention when I was doing a resource scan on Moho and found other types of resources there, other than ore. 

 

Can someone please explain to me what these are. [My game is modded by the way, but no mods to my knowledge add these things to the game].

Do you have Karbonite installed, or any other resource mods?

Sounds like you have some mods installed? Though I didn't know any changed that list.

You've almost certainly installed some mods from USI - essentially, better surface bases and life support.

I would say it's the Community Resource Pack that's to blame for this one.

Community resource pack,  usually with interstellar (which I highly recommend).
