See easter eggs from space.

Recommended Posts

If easter eggs in a realistic comparison to Kerbins dimension/atmosphere etc should be visible from space something should be added to make them visible from space. If there are other ones they should not be visible from space but have an option to toggle them possibly as a cheat from space... Although that may not be neccesary. Certains one visible that should be would be good because it would make it obvious that there is stuff to find and it is spread out. Say the pyramids near the equater. Those should be viewable and get people to go visit them. A few others should exist to show there are things to find and get people to naturally explor kergin more. Having everything hidden from orbit makes it kind of pointless to have surface features as the game stands. Just making a few small changes to visibility of a few objects(those that should have it.) would drastically change how people play KSP and how much they would explore.

Or does one of the settings make this happen now?

Ohhhh... That would make sense. I have not used satelites since 1.2 yet. 8)

It could still be nice to get some of the bigger ones visible a little for realism. It might get people to start finding ways to hunt them. Visual cues are most powerful. Especially to initiate interaction in some manner in a game.

I've certainly seen arches and the Neil Armstrong memorial from a low Munar orbit before, the size of just a few pixels but getting different illumination. I think the pyramids, too, but I'm not sure.

I've spotted the arches from low Mun orbit at a distance of about 10,000-15,000 meters or so. Not sure the distance for the Armstrong memorial.

Spoiler

You can also spot Vallhenge and the dead kraken on Bop from low orbits
