Last visited bug

So, I sent a message to @Frybert some hours ago, but I saw that he was last online on March 15, so I sent the same message to @diomedea only to see that he was last online March 5. I found this very strange and went to check who, from the mod team, was last online recently, @Red Iron Crown was also last online March 5 and @Vanamonde 12h. Went to see Vanamonde profile and saw that diomedea liked Vanamonde post 1h ago.

This is something known to us. The 'Last time visited' feature is not very trustworthy.

Yes, forum database has a "sort" of glitch, it can show not updated dates with some forum members. There's a deep reason to that, but better if an admin wants to give details (I'm certainly not knowledgeable enough).

If a user uses the "log in anonymously" option when logging in then the "last online" timestamp does not update. This is a feature rather than bug, as having "last online 2 minutes ago" would sort of make logging in anonymously a bit pointless. 

Several of the mods, including myself, use this option for a variety of reasons. 

So the short of it is, the value shown cannot be used as an indication of lack of activity, indeed my most recent post is newer than my last online value.
