Josh IN SPACE
Would Beresheet be considered SpaceX's first actual payload beyond Earth orbit? I guess it technically just put it in Earth orbit...but it's purpose is the to the Moon! Wouldn't have gotten anywhere without a rocket taking it on up. Yeah, there was Starman, but that was a test flight. In any case, really cool!

Another one was the Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) in 2015, and which is located at the L1 point. Edited February 24, 2019 by XB-70A Messed up with the name... There's also TESS, which is in an extremely eccentric orbit, and I think it used a flyby of the Moon initially to get there.

B is the shared pad for SLS and BO, etc. 39B is going back to the clean pad it was during Apollo (meaning that anything on a mobile launcher/crawler can roll up and use it). However they will be flying the blunt upper stage at max-q, this might also get damaged by the super drako engines. And I think that would be precisely why they *wouldn't* go inert in the upper stage. You need to prove that the abort works even with tonnes of liquid kaboom in close proximity to the Dragon. Scott Manley has said that they intend to detonate the entire rocket, to see if the capsule can protect the astronauts from the worst possible situation it is designed to survive.
