After reading the whole post (due to I had the CKAN problem with Scatterer dependency... so I went back to the manual installation after a deep cleanup and now back to the CKAN installation, after a deep cleanup again), everything looks great. But, the Skybox is missing ingame. I know that if I copy the textures in TextureReplacer/Default, I should have it back. But I think if I do that, both the ones from TR and the ones inside AVP will be loaded into RAM. I'm actually not sure wether this is only happening with my installation or it is the default behavior. Also, when running the ingame EVE configurator, the first screen is showing TextureConfig - AstronomersVisualPack/EVE/textures, but it shows an 'Invalid name!' and nothing to do there... I'm sorry but I can't post a picture... having problems accessing Imgur from China. Is this normal? Thank you!! The latest AVP depends on TextureReplacerReplaced rather than the TR 1.3 port due to it's functionality of being able to load textures from other folders, allowing further integration with other mods with all AVP content in a single folder. When the EVE configurator spits out "invalid name", it simply means that since the name box is empty by default it is invalid. If you click on over to the cloud configs and such, the cloud entries will show up in the list which you can select and modify. A KSP.log would help, though it would be difficult to find the source of this specific issue. I have never encountered it myself or with any users. Sky is literally swarmed with these things, i'd say that's about 30 per second from ground POV, no less. Kerbin, Duna, Laythe - all the same. 2. Joolian eclipse watched from Laythe. Something is definitely wrong here (scatterer himself without AVP handles this event as it should). Sky is also swarmed with flashes. Finally, I was glad to find out that this mod requires TextureReplacerReplaced, but it took some time to figure that out. Shouldn't it be mentioned in the first post? Update. As I mentioned TRR here, it is important to set "isUnloadingEnabled = never" in @Default.cfg, because leaving it as is may cause many warnings related to unaccessible PNG textures (when using KSPI for example). Spoiler @themaster401 Yes, it's supposed lightning. Its been in astronomers pack since WAAAAAY back when. It's a bit funky. The ocean issue you see there is a scatterer bug. I am not that good in understanding mods, but I'm kinda unsatisfied with "scatterer bug" reason. Eclipse without EVE/AVP (scatterer only) works just fine. Should AVP/EVE appear, a non-transparent black surface appears in place of stock water surface (seen on my screenshot above). That black surface appears even with scatterer folder manually cut away from GameData. (and only with AVP, EVE and Squad folders inside). Below is what it looks like. (screenshot is mod-heavy but "water" looks 100% same) Update: this is directly related to shadows.cfg in AstronomersVisualPack/EVE (and hence to CelestialShadows.dll in EVE) This has been mentioned about a year ago in EVE thread by the way. Here is an screenshot : Kerbin Make sure you have the latest scatterer and only the default scatterer configs. Kerbin shouldn't have angled wispy clouds. BUT I should have mentionned that I run KSP 1.2.2 I read this thread (ok, not the full 17 pages, but a good part) to know how to install Astronomer's on KSP 1.2.2, but I might have failed somewhere. With all the parts (EVE, SVE, TextureReplacer, scatterer...) I've always found it difficult to install the visual mods with CKAN, so with the additional complexity of Astronomer's I went for a manual install, but maybe took the wrong package. I am not sure but does ksprc basically do the same job? So dropping those would result in equally as good visuals but from a differing source? Not sure if I worded that right. I mean both provide high quality stuff to look at but are a bit like two different quality pictures? I am concerned about the versions of KSS and Kopernicus I am using, well basically all the versions of stuff that AVP will replace (if that is the right term). I suppose I am asking because I feel that I probably do not have all the eye candy stuff setup correctly and think avp would remove that concern since it does have setting for each of the sub mods it requires, such that, well they play nicely with each other. KSC looks like an underwater paradise which I presume is not the intended result. Pretty sure CKAN is installing the right version of Scatterer automatically? I'm attempting to track down an issue I'm having - I'm positive it doesn't involve AVP but I'm just hoping to get some direction in my searches for a fix! Spoiler KSP 1.3, installed AVP and all pre-reqs, using 4k TP, following your excellent install instructions. Everything looks beautiful! I've noticed sometimes while in orbit that when an eclipse happens, or a mun transit, there's a large black "window" that takes up half my screen. It moves around like it is attached to my ship, and zooming way out will still cause the issue. When my ship is directly between the body and the sun, the effect doesn't happen. It's most pronounced over the day/night line. I can try to take some video if requested but I did manage to get a couple shots: I tested AVP by itself (with dependencies) and the issue doesn't seem to happen. I'm going to start removing mods trying to repair it but was hoping maybe you could point me in the right direction! I just switched for EVE+SVE to AVP and I definetly have a new favourite. Just a note: It might be a good idea to add the fact that it requires a scatterer reinstall if switching from SVE to the OP. I had that issue and while it was quickly fixed by rummaging through the thread a little it would be even nicer to just know in advance. Scatterer doesn't play well with Module Manager and saves all the changes made by SVE, when they should be temporary at launch.
