Corrupted Save is Corrupted

Hello,

I just had a save get corrupted during a power outage and when I loaded a backup save my graphics settings appear to have been changed but I can't figure out how. I can now see all my ground scenery from space which seems to be reducing my FPS allot. I was wondering if there is a viewing distance setting somewhere?

Could we get a screenshot of what you are seeing? The problem doesn't sound familiar to me.

Well, your settings are in your settings.cfg file -- which should apply to all savegames.

I'm going to guess that what you want to do is turn down your "Render Quality" one notch in your Main Settings/Graphics menu.

I tried turning down the render quality but that didn't seem to change much.

It used to be that I could only see the addon scenery when I was closer to the ground.

 

 

Now I can see it from space. I think that is the issue but I am not sure how to change that. It will load scenery for the entire planet it looks like.

You could just delete the settings.CFG and restart the game that will recreate the settings file
