The Soviet spy thriller Seventeen Moments of Spring is very reliant on Yefim Kapelyan's narration for all the internal monologuing. This has been widely exploited in verbal memes: Quote Stierlitz opens a door, and the lights go on. Stierlitz closes the door, and the lights go out. Stierlitz opens the door again; the light goes back on. Stierlitz closes the door; the light goes out again. "It's a refrigerator", Stierlitz deduces. For example, the United Shipbuilding Corporation claims it can build a superior Sea Launch. https://tass.ru/armiya-i-opk/9266887 Not sure if idle chatter, or they're seriously considering adding even more complications to the project. kerbiloid
The National Research Technological University (the former Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys) together with the Research and Production Enterprise "Zvezda" will develop new spacesuit for PTKNP-Federation-Oryol/Eagle spaceship. In 2019 they have presented its prototype. Their director said that "there was a break in their cooperation, but there is always an alternative, and they will now take part in this alternative". The manufacturer of the spacesuit is not declared, but it will be a Russian company, because he is sure that "we can't buy such important, strategic components from Musk or China", https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=ru&sl=ru&tl=en&u=https://www.rbc.ru/rbcfreenews/5f4322769a7947872a8c07b7
kerbiloid
The Sea Launch restoration officially would cost 35 bln RUR (0.5 bln USD), according to Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov. This requires 5 launches per year to be commercially successful, half for commercial needs, half for government. There is no doubt that the Sea Launch will be restored. It won't compete with Vostochny. They are going to use Soyuz-5 as its launch vehicle. https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=ru&sl=ru&tl=en&u=https://www.interfax.ru/russia/723021 Edited August 24, 2020 by kerbiloid

sh1pman
Rogozin will ask for 150 billion ₽ increase in funding for Roscosmos, 1.4 trillion ₽ total (20B $). I love the picture.
Guest
For what timeframe? This would be reasonable for a 10 or 20-year long plan. Of course, "reasonable" doesn't mean "likely".
kerbiloid
The same from another source. The space program funding is optimized down by 150 bln RUR (2 bln USD), i.e. 10%, until 2025, and this can be corrected down additionally due to the decreased federal budget income. https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=ru&sl=ru&tl=en&u=https://tass.ru/kosmos/9280803?utm_source=yxnews&utm_medium=desktop

I love the picture. Gotta wonder what the extra 6 billion is for. When you ask for 1.4 of something, you generally don't extend it to 1.406 without having a specific purpose in mind.
