I was EVAing around Ike when this happened.

This is weird enough, but you can easily see Werhener Von Kerman inside Jeb. I was on the exact orbit of the magic boulder. Is this an Easter Egg?

That was the real Jeb.  The big version of him is the glitch.

I saw someone else post a picture of a similar glitch that made a huge Kerbal in the background a while back. The Wernher is new, though.

Since Wernher isn't a physical kerbal, and just a character,  I am not sure if this could happen through a glitch

There is a model for him like all other kerbals, it's just that kerbonauts can be loaded onto the game scene like a part would

Maybe someone should try recreating this by putting an EVA kerbal into orbit around Ike with the exact same orbital parameters as the old Magic Boulder had (which is what the OP did)

This has happened to me before, although not with Wernher. I was on the Mün (a 3x scaled Mün with Sigma) and it happened when I went to the map view. From memory, it would start off bright, with the same colors a Kerbal normally has, but as soon as I zoomed out enough for the camera to leave Kerbin’s SOI, the face went dark....
