How do u get target crosshairs to come on in career mode ?

Welcome to the forums.

You need to upgrade the Tracking Station. Just right-click on it and pay for the upgrade. You'll need to do the same for all of the other buildings eventually, as well.

what lvl would the Tracking Station need to be at i have it at a lvl3 i think

I'm pretty sure he means the blue target marker. @nova2425, if your tracking station is upgraded, you should be able to see the marker (this is, of course, provided you've actually set something as a target). If, instead, you mean "target hold" on your SAS, each individual pilot must be promoted to level 3.

There’s a mysterious key - F3, F4, F5 - that toggles the target marker. That has often caught me out

Or perhaps you are just looking for the SAS buttons.  In career mode the pilots need to level up before you get all the buttons.  Normally I get drone cores well before the pilots are high enough level so use those to get the SAS options.

thanks guys did not know that when u target like the a space station that u would need to use f3 f4 f5 to get the cross hair on the target to come up have not tried this yet but i will it will help when im trying to dock
