Engines not igniting

I built one of my goofy rockets and the first time I launched everything worked fine. The second time engines would not ignite after boosters were separated. I made no changes. So I checked the cache integrity on steam and 14 files were not verified and were to be reacquired. I tried another launch but had the same problem. It appeared that no fuel was flowing to the engine. I'm not sure how to fix this.

Check your staging, if that doesn't work, try a fresh install of KSP, no mods.

Your throttle is at zero in the first screenshot.   Maybe you're not throttling up?

I'm hesitant to sound stupid, but it looks like you need to hit the "z" button.

Got ninja'd. At least if I'm wrong I won't be alone.

It would appear that I did not put my foot on the gas. I was thinking that hitting the space bar was all I had to do.

 

This is going to put a dent in my chances for the Wernher Von Kerman rocketry award. Back to Kerbin U for remedial classes.
