Hey Kerbals! My name is Gsanabio and im a Newcomer to KSP.

I've played the first training missions and enjoying the awe of KSP so far.

But it all seems a bit intimidating at first, any veterans have any tips for newcomers?

i already undertand the basics and how career works, though im not sure I would enjoy it (maybe i will).

I'm no veteran, but if you're playing on career.....

One thing: Beware the big purple planet (Eve)

Ships and rockets go down to it's surface, but hardly any ever return :D

I'd say the biggest hurtle to get around is docking.  Once you know how to get to orbit, get to another body (like the Mun), and figure out how to dock, everything else will come easy.

The built in docking tutorial is not great.  Plenty of good threads and guides around here for it.

Welcome!

Greetings and welcome to the forum, @gsanabio.

I am not a veteran but I agree with Geonovast about the docking tutorial and with Earthlinger about Eve.  The most important thing to remember is that there is a steep learning curve to the game but once you get up to speed, things that intimidate you now will become routine.  To start with I would recommend installing an information mod like Kerbal Engineer Redux or Mechjeb if you have not already, to help you design rockets with more useful information than is available in stock.

If you have any specific questions you could post here or start a new thread in the gameplay sub section of the forum.
