Can we add Tesla Roadster?

Hello guys. I have a suggestion here. Recently, Falcon Heavy, world's most powerful rocket, launches into the orbit with Tesla Roadster in it. So why don't we add that into game, launch the rocket,the car orbits around the universe and landed on the moon or mars or any other planets? Sounds cool right? Plus, make it drivable.

Welcome to the forums, @OhOhOhOhOh!! I like the idea!

However, it this is something that might be better relegated to a mod, as the community at large might not want this. To tell you the truth though, I probably wouldn't ever use it, and it would sit there, cluttering up my parts list.

I know people have made stock cars out  of the various structural elements before (@Vagani comes to mind). Why not launch one of those into space?

 

As for putting a Tesla^TM Roadster into space, I think that there would be a ton of licensing issues to figure out.

Nah, the whole point of KSP is making stuff like that yourself.

It's bad enough we have an orbital advertisement for cars whizzing about our actual planetary system now.

Can we at least keep our virtual universe free of commercialism?

It was either a car or a pile of concrete blocks. They weren't exactly going to put something valuable on it.

 

As for the suggestion. Some more rover parts would be nice, but sticking entire vehicles in the game misses the point entirely. It's about a system of lego like parts you can put together in any combination. An entire car couldn't be used as anything else.

vacuum is not a big deal. But I suspect the electronic components won't last long, exposed to the radiation of space.
