I'm trying to use the thermal electric effect generator attached directly to a nuclear reactor (1.25m short) with radiators attached as well, but I keep getting an error "generator shutdown: no attached power source." This is from version 1.26.20 EDIT: I found a workaround, I think - Put the engine into a subassembly, or make it the first part in your craft. I have also updated to 1.26.21 and will report if the bug continues to occur. It cannot do that for for foreign parts.. You would need to add a fuel pump to the Whirligig Nuclear Reprocessor. After installing these, KSP loaded up successfully. Seems like maybe the full version of IFS, or one of the other mods under recommendations, should actually be listed as a requirement. I am developing a low-KEO gas harvester, and have this part on a test vessel on the launch pad with radial atmospheric scoops and ISRU gear and a bunch of radiators. The integrated generator is not working. The cold bath temperature shows as 288, the hot bath as 1600, the efficiency 34.61%, and the "Maximum Electric Power" is ... 0. The Megajoules Management Display shows 112MW of theoretical capacity, ThermalPower shows a theoretical supply of 330MW of heat. I can crank the reactor with the minimum-throttle slider and get some heat, but still no power.I've recently reinstalled KSP (v1.11.1.3066) and I'm running v1.26.22 of KSPI-E. With bugfixes and upgrades all over the place. And I'm really happy this mod is so alive I have a career save with 130 mods (KSPIE included of course) and 200 hours of fantastic play time. And it's amazing. Everything works as expected, and I haven't experienced any single bug (true! you can believe me). Thanks mostly to the amazing CKAN and modulemanager. My question : Is it safe to update such a big mod as KSPIE mid-playthrough? I mean how does it work generally with updating mods? Should I stick with the versions at the time I started my career?
