All Biomes on Eve

Recommended Posts

Hi! I set myself the target to research all Biomes in game.

[X] Science! says I finished Kerbin, Mun, Minmus, Duna, Ike and Gilly to 100%

On Eve I think I am finished. But I am missing the "splashed down" biomes for Lowlands, Midlands, Highlands, Foothills, Peaks, Olympus and Craters.

It seems like on Eve (in contrast to Kerbin) "splashed down" does not exist for all Biomes . Fluid levels start strictly at 0m whereas the biomes I am missing start way above 0m.

Can anyone confirm? Or can anyone send me coordinates for the biomes I am missing?

I am using this Biome Correction Mod.

Hello, and welcome to the forums!  :)

Just a bit of terminology to sort out:  the term you're looking for is situation, not "biomes".  Lowlands, Midlands, Highlands, etc. are biomes.  Things like "landed", "splashed down", "flying", "upper atmosphere", etc. are referred to as "situations".

Sorry, not trying to be pedantic-- just wanted to let you know how folks refer to them.  The whole science thing is complex enough that it's easy to get confused, so one generally needs to be careful about terminology when asking questions or folks are likely to be talking at cross-purposes.

Yep, not every biome is necessarily going to have "splashed down" as an option, because not every biome is going to have liquid available.

^ Have never used that mod myself, but it's very popular and I hear good things about it.  :)  But my guess is that what's going on here has to do with the mod you're using, rather than your game play.

If I had to guess what's going on here, I'd suppose that perhaps the mod isn't fully aware of exactly which Eve biomes have liquid available to land in or not, so it's reporting "to do" things that aren't actually possible.  I hasten to add, though, that that's just a guess, since I haven't actually run that mod myself (I tend to use the science-indicator functionality in IndicatorLights instead), so I could be wrong about that.

Perhaps it may be worth asking your question over in the [X] Science thread?  That's where the experts (and author) of that mod hang out, so I suspect they could definitively answer the question for you.  Who knows, maybe you've actually discovered a bug and your report might be helpful to the author!

This mod may have also removed some of the anomalous situations that may result in a "splashed down" situation when you are actually sitting on dry land.  The mod thread isn't very specific about this, but it would be within it's purview.
